2025-2026 Parent Handbook
Our School Handbook serves as a comprehensive guide for students and families, outlining the policies, procedures, explanations, and values that shape our school community. It is an important resource that ensures consistency, safety, and mutual understanding between the school and families. We encourage all parents and students to read the handbook carefully and refer to it throughout the school year.
Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)
St. James The Greater
The PTO brings parents and teachers together for school events, fundraisers, and classroom needs. Each family is required to complete 30 service hours and 40 service hours for families utilizing scholarships for each school year. There are several opportunities throughout the school year to quickly receive your hours. Attending school field trips is just one way to achieve a large number of hours while having fun! Be sure to sign up for PTO remind to be aware of all of the service hour opportunities that are avalible
Safe Environment
Training
At St. James the Greater Catholic School, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our students. All parent volunteers must undergo safe environment training to ensure a secure environment when parents are on campus. This is needed to have access on campus and volunteer for field trips. We also encourage parents to participate in our safety measures by clicking the link below to complete a background check run through the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City. This process is done yearly to maintain up-to-date information. Together, we create a community where every child can thrive and grow.

School Supply List and Uniform Requirements
Application
The Parental Choice Tax Credit application will go-live Monday, March 16, 2026, at 9 a.m. This online application go-live date and time will not be impacted by inclement weather, a reduction of State services or school closures. In order to receive the tax credit you must apply every year.
Safety First
We prioritize the safety and well-being of every student and staff member above all else. Our teachers are highly trained and prepared for any situation, with staff certified in CPR and equipped to use on-site defibrillators. Our campus is fully enclosed with a secure perimeter fence. Throughout the pandemic, we remained committed to following CDC guidelines and recommendations from the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City, allowing us to stay open and serve our community safely. Fire and Tornado drills are practiced with students throughout the year regularly.
